womens dressing gown::This beautiful short robe by odette barsa has a soft baby blue under layer, peeking through allover ecru lace fabric.
Dressing gown is sleeveless, but collar extends into a capelet that covers the shoulders.
Back of capelet is attached to the robe itself, and is accented with blue ribbon woven through ecru eyelet lace.
Amazingly, except for the gathering in the back, the blue fabric for the robe is all one piece no side seams!
Has a wonderful taffetalike rustle when you move in it.
Odette barsa label in the back yoke seam, but no other labels.
Robe is in amazing condition: aside from the replaced snaps, the only thing wrong i can find are a couple of darker colorations on the ribbon tie at the neck.
I did successfully machine wash this in a small lingerie bag, cold water, gentle cycle, then air dried.
This is a gorgeous piece of midcentury fashion history!
